The Elk Grove City Council held its eighth regular meeting of 2026 on April 22. The meeting lasted just over three hours, and Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen was in Washington DC conducting "city business."

Among the highlights were a hearing on bringing Sacramento Regional Transit's Light Rail to Elk Grove.
