During the September 10, 2025, Elk Grove City Council meeting, several citizens requested the city and police department's help to protect vulnerable immigrant communities from the ongoing ice raids.
None of the four city councilmen responded to the request for a commitment to protection.
However, Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen asked each of the speakers to contact her to discuss the matter. The mayor never discloses the results of these conversations.
So, using the knowledge of what motivates cash-grubbing elected officials like Singh-Allen, who offer platitudes while they shake people down for campaign contributions, we have imagined what these conversations might be like.
