Matsui Skewered by Vang over Lockheed Martin donation - 'Ever Wonder Why Democrats in Congress Don't Fight as Hard as They Should?'
"Sure as hell shouldn't take money from companies enabling ICE."
Although they have not yet been independently examined, Congressional candidate Mai Vang skewered fellow Democrat, electoral opponent, and current Rep. Doris Matsui for accepting corporate donations from those she framed as acting against constituents interests.
The social media video posted this morning starts with Ms. Vang asking, "Ever wonder why Democrats in Congress don't fight hard as they should?" See the entire video below.
Among Matsui's corporate donors highlighted in the video was defense contractor Lockheed Martin. Vang argued that when Matsui and other Democratic establishment representatives accept campaign contributions from corporations like Lockheed Martin, which has a contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, they are acting against the interests of constituents they should be fighting for.
Candidates had a filing deadline of Jan 31 to report campaign financial activity for the last quarter of 2025. As of last evening, those reports had not been posted on the Federal Election Commission webpage.
Vang also mentioned Matsui's contributions from Walmart, Home Depot, and PG&E. She also referenced donations Matsui has taken in the past from pharma, oil, and private health insurers.
Vang added, Mastui and other congressional Democratic representatives, "Sure as hell shouldn't take money from companies enabling ICE."
