Low Propensity Voters Targeted by Yes on 50
A seemingly personalized, handwritten postcard might capture a few more votes.

Although polling shows Proposition 50 with a slight lead among likely California voters, the Yes side is seemingly leaving nothing to chance.

An Elk Grove News reader shared this postcard received last weekend. The person to whom it was addressed has not lived in the state for several years, although their name still appears on the county register list.
Unlike other people at the same address who have consistently voted in every election, this person appears not to have voted for several years. The apparent conclusion is that there is a concerted effort to squeeze every vote, especially as this voter is registered as a Democrat.
While mass market TV commercials are in heavy rotation, especially during news programs, a seemingly personalized, handwritten postcard might capture a few more votes. As history has shown in close elections, getting low-propensity voters to participate can make all the difference.
