Elk Grove awarded $2.1 million for Laguna Boulevard pavement work
The awards are part of SACOG’s 2026 federal funding cycle
Elk Grove has been awarded $2.1 million in federal transportation funding for pavement surface treatment on Laguna Boulevard, part of a $46 million regional package approved by the Sacramento Area Council of Governments.
The awards support 24 projects across 17 local governments — 13 cities and four counties.
Elk Grove's grant will fund the Laguna Boulevard Pavement Surface Treatment project. The report does not specify which section of the boulevard will receive treatment or when work will begin.
SACOG’s System Preservation Grant Program funds pavement repairs and maintenance intended to extend road life, support goods movement, and reduce future costs.
