Do Elk Grove Elected Officials Remember Their Oath to The Constitution?

When elected officials at every level of government in the United States take their oath of office, they promise to "support and defend the Constition of the United States."

With the recent actions by federal government officials against American citizens that violate constitutional rights, including attacks on the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments, will Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh Allen and Councilmen Rod Brewer, Sergio Robles, Kevin Spease, and Darren Suen remain silent?

Will they take their oath to the Constitution of the United States of America seriously and speak out and let their constituents know they, in fact, will defend it from all enemies "foreign and domestic." Or will they remain silent and say it is out of their purview of interest or jurisdiction?

If they fear offending everyone, these three amendments specifically have broad support among patriotic Americans across the political spectrum, particularly the Second Amendment, which has broad conservative and libertarian support.

It is no mistake that the oath starts with a vow to protect our Constitution and the rights bestowed on Americans. Unfortunately, if the history of this Elk Grove City Council is any guide, all five will be mute and not speak in defense of their constituents' rights, even in passing.

When they take that oath, they don't understand the ramifications. These are just words they mindlessly repeat so they can sit on the dias and act important.
