Coffee with a Cop Returns to Elk Grove Wednesday Morning

This Wednesday, September 3, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., the Elk Grove Police Department invites residents to join a casual “Coffee with a Cop” at Starbucks, 10064 Laguna Blvd, Elk Grove.

The event, built around the concept: "Your morning coffee tastes even better when it comes with good conversation," encourages community members to stop by, sip a warm beverage, ask questions, share stories or simply connect with officers serving their neighborhood.

Coffee with a Copy began in 2011 in Hawthorne, Calif. as a simple idea - to create a space for informal conversations between officers and citizens and has spread nationally. Within just a few years, the program expanded nationwide, and today events are held year-round in all 50 U.S. states and in several other countries.
