The race for California's 6th Congressional District has drawn several candidates, making it one of the most competitive contests in the Sacramento region.

Today, one of those Democratic candidates, former State Senator and Assemblymember Richard Pan, made a claim on social media that polling shows he leads the next-most-popular candidates by a 2-to-1 margin. Pan posted that polling shows him leading at 31 percent.

Three other unnamed Democratic opponents are at 14 percent, with two of them at 11 percent. The polling did not list a Republican.

Additonally, Pan claimed the polls showed he was the only candidate rated very appealing by respondents. Hall Research conducted the poll, but the posting did not say if Pan's campaign was the sponsor.
