Many residents spoke in opposition to Flock surveillance cameras deployed by the Elk Grove Police Department
The Elk Grove, Calif. City Council held its 15th regular meeting of 2026 on Aug. 26. The meeting lasted just under three hours.
The highlight of the meeting was public comments urging the city to remove Flock ALPR surveillance cameras from the city. There were about 50 people in the city council chamber for the discussion, of which there were 21 who made public comments.
