Join the Historic Preservation Committee 🏛️

Want to help preserve Elk Grove's past? The City of Elk Grove is currently accepting applications to fill a vacancy on its Historic Preservation Committee.

  • Position: This is a volunteer, non-paid position.
  • Role: The Committee advises the City Council on local landmarks, historic districts, and preservation programs, guiding efforts to protect the city's historic and cultural resources.
  • Qualifications: Applicants should have a demonstrated interest or experience in historic preservation. Individuals with professional qualifications in history, architecture, or archaeology are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Requirements: Members must be Elk Grove residents, at least 18 years old, and registered voters.
  • Meetings: The Committee meets at 6:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at Elk Grove City Hall. The current term runs through February 10, 2027.

The City of Elk Grove is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to develop its first Arts and Creative Economy Strategy.
