The Historic Main Street Special Planning Area (SPA) is undergoing a refresh, and the City needs your input to guide the update.

Join the Historic Preservation Committee 🏛️
Want to help preserve Elk Grove's past? The City of Elk Grove is currently accepting applications to fill a vacancy on its Historic Preservation Committee.
- Position: This is a volunteer, non-paid position.
- Role: The Committee advises the City Council on local landmarks, historic districts, and preservation programs, guiding efforts to protect the city's historic and cultural resources.
- Qualifications: Applicants should have a demonstrated interest or experience in historic preservation. Individuals with professional qualifications in history, architecture, or archaeology are especially encouraged to apply.
- Requirements: Members must be Elk Grove residents, at least 18 years old, and registered voters.
- Meetings: The Committee meets at 6:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at Elk Grove City Hall. The current term runs through February 10, 2027.
