Elk Grove Mayoral Candidate Starts Advertising For 2026 Election
Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen has one announced opponent for 2026.
Elections for two Elk Grove City Council members and the Mayor will happen less than one year from today. While the two incumbents, District 2 and District 4 representatives Rod Brewer and Sergio Robles, have no announced opponents, as it stands today, Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen will have at least one opponent, Roger Banos.

Mr. Banos filed papers earlier this year with the Elk Grove City Clerk announcing his intentions to challenge Singh-Allen, who is seeking her fourth two-year term.
While Mr. Banos' mayoral campaign has created a presence on social media, he is also using a more traditional, albeit less popular, approach to marketing himself. That more conventional means is newspaper display advertising in Elk Grove's newspaper of record, the Elk Grove Citizen.
The advertisement for his campaign (see below) also takes a less confrontational, but somewhat passive-aggressive approach. One line of copy in the campaign advertisement says:
"I'm not here to criticize the current administration; instead, I aim to build on their progress and keep moving Elk Grove forward. I respect the hard work they've put in, and I'm ready to take it to the next level."
