Congressional Candidate Thien Ho Rolls out Endorsements, Massive 24-hour Fundraising Haul

Clearly, Mr. Ho's endorsement announcements, and more importantly, his apparent early financial support, are a signal to other candidates to clear the way for his campaign.

Sacramento District Attorney and Congressional Candidate Thein Ho appeared on CNN.

Today, Sacramento District Attorney Thein Ho rolled out five endorsements for his newly launched congressional campaign. Ho, who is one of four candidates seeking the open California 6th Congressional District seat.

Those endorsements are from California Assemblymembers Stephanie Nguyen and Derek Tran, Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarty, Sacramento City Councilmember Phil Pluckebaum, Sacramento County Supervisor Rich Desond, and Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh Allen. Except for Desmond, who is independent, the other endorsements are from fellow Democrats.

Ho's most notable opponents for the seat are Dr. Ami Bera, who has left to run for the 3rd Congressional District, and former State Senator and Assemblymember Dr. Richard Pan.

In a separate post, Ho also stated that in the 24 hours following his Tuesday announcement, he raised over $300,000. Ho currently has $383,000 in his District Attorney campaign fund, which can be transferred.

Ho's most notable opponent for the district currently represented by Dr. Ami Bera, who has left to run for the 3rd Congressional District, is former State Senator and Assemblymember Dr. Richard Pan. There has also been published speculation that State Senator Angelique Ashby is contemplating entering the race.
