Third Act Sacramento activists held a protest on April 21 urging CalPERS/STRS, the State of California retirement pension funds, to stop funding climate crimes as they invest in fossil fuel corporations. A just-released study by Dartmouth College reveals that the world's biggest corporations, topped by Big Oil companies, have caused $28 trillion in climate damage. As Big Oil keeps on pumping in the oil fields of California, the Western States Petroleum Association has waged a successful campaign to sponsor dinners and awards receptions for journalists.
