Another fatality on Waterman Road in Elk Grove
Three vehicle fatalities on the rural area road.
For the second time in less than one week, there has been a fatality on Waterman Road in Elk Grove.
The Elk Grove Police Department reports that a single motorcycle was involved in a fatal accident on the rural road. The accident happened in the late evening hours of Saturday. May 17.
The preliminary investigation determined that the motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man, was heading northbound on Waterman Road south of Sheldon Road at 11:30 p.m., approaching the center median, when he lost control and hit the median.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office will make the identification of the deceased.
The cause of the collision is under investigation, and it is unknown it is not known whether the victim was impaired. Anyone with information regarding this collision is encouraged to contact the Elk Grove Police Department Traffic Bureau at (916) 478-8143.
On Tuesday, May 13, two people perished in a single-vehicle accident on Waterman Road in the same vicinity as this accident.
